Steps to add Smart Tags in OptinMonster on your site

In order to add Smart Tags, you need to follow these simple steps
1.In the campaign builder, add or edit a text.
2. Now, you have to select the curly braces {} in order to choose a predefined Smart Tag.
3. Here, you can select the smart tag that you want and it will be added to the text field editor.
4. If you cannot find the necessary information, you can define the default value for the Smart Tag.
5. After the customization, save all the changes.
6. When your campaign goes live, the Smart Tags will be automatically replaced by the dynamic value that you have entered.
Smart Tag Format
Every Smart Tag should begin with two opening curly braces and end with two closing curly braces {{name}}. This helps in the determination of the content that should be replaced in your campaign.

- Query Argument– This is one of the simplest ways to define custom smart tags. You can add a query argument to your URL for a custom tag called “name”. afterward, Optin Monster inspects your query argument and replaces your Smart Tag with the value of your query argument.
- Cookies– A cookie is a small piece of data sent by the website and stored on the user’s web browser while browsing. These are used to identify your computer as you use the computer network.
